“I appreciated not having to do any preparation besides gathering materials–and your suggestions on finding them for free were timely for an end of the year budget…..no one could believe such a complete program could cost so little.”
~ Meg Glidden
“We have been using Teaching English Through Art in our homeschool and it is the highlight of our curriculum.”

“I wanted to write and say how much I have enjoyed Visual Manna 2 with my children. Your approach to art is the way I always wanted to do art. The historical imput combined with simple and effective instructions are winners in my book.”
~ Leah Davis
“The curriculum includes a high quality, large loose-leaf binder with each lesson protected in plastic covers. Beautiful full color prints of famous paintings are featured with explanatory paragraphs for each one. The course begins with uplifting and encouraging words to you the teacher/parent, which armed me with the ability and courage to explore the intimidating world of art….This curriculum is perfect for secular, Christian or public school use.”
~ Marry Leppert publisher of “The LInk” homeschool newspaper

Homeschool Mom Thank you for the wonderful art seminar you gave our group Monday. Parents continue to make positive coments about the way in which you coduct your seminars, the children love it. ~ Michelle Shaw, Grand Prize Winner 9th Annual “Kids Helping Kids” greeting card contest, 2001
“The word here is ‘it was perfect!’ I asked the boys if there was anyhing they thought could be different and that was their response. I want to thank you for setting up the seminar. My oldest son had particiapted in an earlier Visual Manna Seminar and I had hoped the last couple of years they would come to our area again. The age ranges were excellent for our family, it’s not often that both boys get to enjoy a class together. Thanks again.”
~ Janice
“I was going to email you and tell you how much our two enjoyed the day! Big smiles and lots of information shared with the new people they met. We were hoping there would be additional classes during the year. As far as the age divisions, our two are so close together they will probably always be together—both a blessing and a bane???? The length was great —for me at least. I was able to get a ton of stuff done. Thanks for organizing this. We all really enjoyed the day”.

“I just cannot adequately express how much your visit to Columbus has meant to our family. The girls will never tire of all they learned about art, and the workshops will be one of the major highlights of their homeschool years. Your encouragement and instruction toward their art endeavors will be profitable for a long time.”
~ The Clements family
“Thank you so much for comig and doing workshops for us. We have received many wonderful comments from past workshops you have done–we could not have found a more qualified teacher.”
~ Nida
“Artistic creation does not copy God’s creation, it continues it. And just as the trace and the image of God appear in His creatures, so the human stamp, sensitive and spiritual, not only that of the hands, but of the whole soul.”
~ Jacques Maritain
Artsy Animals Being Kind
“I love that you were able to incorporate Bible verses. Awesome coverage of all feelings from common feelings and emotions such as happy, sad, mad and scared all the way to using descriptive words such as …was a real dandy…..quite sappy……even say mellow….to be witty…
I loved the follow through and extension such as violin/lizard.
I love all the rhyming words. Kids really need to be hearing these rhyming words.
Great character education.
I love how you encourage creativity and the kids don’t feel threatened. I love it…..”
~Stephanie Floyd, educator/mother
“Artsy Animals Learn To Read is a creative masterpiece sure to delight Montessori teachers and parents looking for ways to stimulate integrated learning. Sharon Jeffus makes learning phonics fun by focusing on the wonderful world of animals. Children receive needed practice in the areas of both letter recognition and phonics patterns. Well written and imaginative drawing lessons appear on each page, often supplemented by interesting factoids about the animal as well as an invitation for the child and parent to do some enjoyable extension exercises.”
~Heidi Spietz, American Montessori
Joyce Herzog says: “I love the Artsy Animals! What a win/win combination – developing art skills and learning letter sounds. Most children will love this! It is perfect for one boy I am working with right now! I can’t wait to see “Artsy Animals Being Kind to Each Other.”
“My children went wild with joy when they saw the latest in the Visual Manna line up of products. Michael, my six year old doesn’t like to write, but after a few moments of Artsy Animals, he was writing rhyming sentences and illustrating them as well. I was so excited to see him giggling as he wrote silly rhyming sentences to go with his drawings. My eight year old got out a drawing pad and began illustrating her own rhyming words.”
~Felice Gerwitz, author/publisher of Media Angels
“Harley is very much into art and with my health (can’t drive far or sometimes not at all) and finances it is marvelous to be able to provide “Real” art classes right here in our home, with the supplies delivered, and at a reasonable cost. Derek has been requesting more art and I just haven’t been physically up to getting it all together and doing a lesson – so the younger kit and class have really helped me out – they are both so excited for Mondays now!”
That was awesome!

Danielle took the online art class from Sharon. She worked on watercolor, pastel, and mixed media through the online class. She won a second and third place ribbon in a local art contest for her art work. Taking the class gave her the confidence to enter the contest. She was able to work on these projects with Sharon online during the class.
~Mrs. Melvin

~Nicola Wakeling, England

“I was so impressed with the portfolio of art and her writing that she accomplished through your classes! We had to compile everything to get her registered and she was given full credit for all her work. Thanks again!”God Bless!

“The future of learning is here! From the comfort of home, our daughter took art and writing classes with Visual Manna via Skype on her computer. She thoroughly enjoyed learning and growing in each of these classes. I’d recommend Visual Manna’s online learning to homeschool students, traditional students and students of all ages looking to expand their horizons, but may not have the time to commute and take traditional courses. Visual Manna offered my daughter skills that she will treasure for a lifetime.”

She loves it! Every Tuesday and Thursday she counts down to the time when art class begins.

You really made my week. I enjoyed sitting in on the class so much. The other
day— I was showing Abraham how sunlight was hitting the tops of
the trees unevenly. So you have made me a little more perceptive!!
In addition I feel like we have a jump start on art for the school
year. My art guilt has been reduced and I feel empowered to teach a
few things!!!
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing on behalf of Sharon Jeffus.
My daughter Alyssa recently took a high school art class with Sharon
even though Alyssa was only 12 at the time. Sharon really got her
involved in different media and brought out from her a desire to learn
more and to do more art daily. Alyssa’s age was never a problem.
Sharon always keeps her eyes open for new opportunities for Alyssa to
be involved in, such as art shows and contests and even money-making
opportunities. Sharon’s interest is always focused on the children
and helping them to succeed in what they enjoy, while still
encouraging them to try new media and ideas. She has been and
continues to be a great mentor for our family.
Sincerely,
Debbie Engel
To Whom It May Concern:
It has been my great pleasure to work with Sharon Jeffus as art instructor to my children. Sharon displayed a patient and kind nature that I continually marveled at. She was encouraging and brought out the best in both of my children; one a very reluctant artist, the other requires a firm hand to keep him on task. I have the utmost confidence in Sharon’s ability to display a kind and gentle spirit in guiding children. She is a wonderfully encouraging instructor and a very nurturing person.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Moran
From a mom:
Creativity is truly something I have to concentrate on. I have spent my whole life
believing I had no artistic talent. We didn’t have much art in school and in college I had to take an elementary art class for teachers. I was so humiliated by the crudeness of my work compared to others. You are so patient and so encouraging!! I used to look at still life pictures and wonder how people could draw them to look so natural. Thanks forteaching me how to do that!! Now I know I am not missing some magic art gene. I have just not been taught or had a chance to practice. I doubt I will ever become a Grandma Moses–but at least I know how to doodle a little better. The kids had a good time—
God Bless.
Cathy
Hi, my name is Alyssa and this is my first to year taking an art class. I absolutely love it. Although I love just about all the techniques I’ve learned throughout the course, I’ve taken a special liking to charcoal paintings. I also discovered another favorite art technique of mine is drawing different unique patterns on tee-shirts with fabric pens. I’m really proud of the tee-shirts I’ve done so far, but hope to make even better ones in the future. …
