OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE YOUNG CHRISTIANS WITH EXCELLENT TRAINING IN THE ARTS. CONTACT US TODAY FOR REGISTRATION. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS RESERVES YOUR SPACE. YOU RECEIVE A CD WITH BOOKS AND LESSONS UPON REGISTRATION.
Below is a copy of last year's schedule. You can get an idea of what we do by reading the description below. This year will also include music and drama. We are also planning on offering filmmaking . We are in the process of getting the schedule together. Contact us for information. We encourage families to come together. Cost per child from 9:00 to 3:00 is $30.00. Cost for student to spend the night is $85.00.
If you want to go into art as a career, this is an opportunity to put
together an excellent portfolio. A good portfolio can help you get a scholarship.
This year we are planning on having filmmaking and photography.
We also will have graphic art and computer animation.
Students can come for just one day, or all four.
Day five we will have a performance/art show of what we have achieved during the
week.
This takes place in the beautiful town of Salem, MO the third FULL WEEK IN JULY.

> MONDAY: Sharon Jeffus will introduce goals of camp and do drawing
> techniques in charcoal with students. Students will have a finished
> charcoal to frame. Edie Gabel, master artist who shows in Chicago and
> is past president of Spring Creek Artisans will show watercolor
> techniques. She does trains, buildings and nostalgia art. Students
> will do a picture with Edie.
> TUESDAY: The very popular Michael Helm will do painting on canvas with
> students. We will also work with color and pastel. Students will
> complete a painting on canvas suitable to frame.
> WEDNESDAY: Nationally known bird artist David Plank will be doing
> watercolor birds and sharing his techniques with students. Students
> will complete a watercolor and sculpture of birds. Karen Lough will
> come in the afternoon and show her primitive paintings and work with
> students in primitive techniques.
> THURSDAY: We will spend the day at Montauk State Park with naturalist
> Steve Nast introducing a variety of creatures seen at Montauk State
> Park including deer, snapping turtles, and birds of prey. Wildlife
> photography will be taught by Jonathan Jeffus. We will be drawing and
> sculpting animals and doing wire sculpture and marblex. A guest
> sculptor will talk on his metal art.
> FRIDAY: Computer art and graphics will be taught by Jonathan Jeffus in
> the morning. Bring your laptop and get excellent free graphic
> software with training on how to use it. Students will finish a
> computer graphic for their portfolio. We will also talk about comic
> strip art and design a character and talk about copyright.
