She studied painting at Metropolitan in Denver and sculpting at Southern Illinois University. She has written over 20 books and has the internationally known company Visual Manna. Sharon wrote her first book in 1992 and developed the Visual Manna teaching method where art is integrated with art appreciation, techniques, vocabulary and core subjects. Sharon and her husband Richard taught art to thousands of homeschoolers across America before he passed away. Sharon also taught Intensive English as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Missouri-Rolla and has given presentations on teaching art to college classes including Azusa Pacific University and Columbia College and the Audubon Society. Visual Manna is all about learning with the visual and kinesthetic learning methods. Our art through the core series is available with hundreds of supplemental art projects and visuals that support core learning. Visual Manna is also about excellence in the visual arts. We have developed a week long comprehensive fine art high school credit. We can come and teach for a week and students can continue on to get AP credit if they choose to do so online. Students can take this course online from Sharon Jeffus. We will mentor students. Cost is $300 for two semesters. We also do mission trips to create beauty at homeless missions and community centers. We have a mission trip scheduled for Israel in May where students will do murals at Ariel University, along with many art and sightseeing opportunities. Families welcome. We also have free art lessons available at http://ourhomeschoolforum.com/author/sharon-jeffus/
